Consists of correspondence, memoranda, interview transcripts, a subject file of local political and social topics, questionnaires, raw data from studies on ethnic group endorsements and voter tabulations, interpretive computer printouts, and newspaper clippings. The surveys consist of more than a thousand questionnaires distributed to teachers, students, clergy, lawyers, policemen, politicians, and others to determine their political and social attitudes on a variety of issues. The collection provides information useful to the study of attitudes of a large number of individuals in various professions and provides a good base of information on various social and civic issues of the period. Included are a number of interviews with members of the Fifty Club.
